For my article on the internet I chose http://www.cosmopolitan.com/style/hairstyles/get-what-you-wanta. I chose this because of its direct relation to what my papers topic is. The article I chose from this website is one on hair. I used a hair article/ad that I wrote about in my paper so this relates well. The article on the website has a picture of a blonde woman facing away from the camera, but with her face looking back just over her shoulder. She is in business looking attire with a black blouse and pearl earrings. Her hair is long and blonde. It looks neat and has a very natural shine. The article that accompanies the picture is about how you should look for a job interview. No wonder the woman is dressed in business attire. It explains how a womans hair should look and what kinds of products that they can use to help them with any problems. It directly talks about frizz and keeping hair in a smooth natural look. It even shows how to properly applicate the products to the hair. I think that facebook and myspace often accurately reflect a persons image to others. I think this because people put what they want on their to show who they are and what they do. I have a facebook and a myspace and I think they both portray me. I put pictures up of what I do in my spare time and I put information that I want people to know about me. Maybe if someone lied on it then it can be misleading. I think that images differ from word rhetorically because images give an idea to base your imagination off of. Words leave you with just your imagination to give you an image. I think you can do ore with an image to refer to because sometimes its harder to make up something out of just imagination and words to refer to. I think that different media can add to your overall image too. I think that words alone can give greater detail to a subject of done right. Images can only give you an example of what the subject is about. I think its appropriate to use images in books that have little detail, and in articles or texts that are trying to draw attention from any person. Overall I would add images to every text just for a reinforcement to the readers imagination.
