After looking through their website, I decided to write on the Third Eye Blind website, http://www.3eb.com/, because it was not exactly what I expected to find.  Although the main visual images on the webpage are pictures of their album covers, I did not necessarily feel that their true style or musical personality was portrayed in their webpage.  There were only a few of these images throughout the entire website, and I felt like they were concentrated under specific parts of the webpage.  The photo gallery was full of interesting images of the group performing live in concert.  I thought these photos could have added a lot more of the band’s personality to the website if they had maybe been spread throughout the website instead of just in one particular section of the webpage.  I also found the site somewhat confusing, because there were several scattered advertisements along the sides of the page, but nonetheless the webpage was full of information, including tour dates, news updates on the band, and their music videos.  The colors used primarily in the webpage are dark green and light yellow, which are the colors used throughout the cover of Third Eye Blind’s third album, Out of the Vein.  I personally did not like this, because the album cover art of Third Eye Blind’s albums expresses a lot about each particular album and the songs that pertain to that album.  Each one of Third Eye Blind’s albums has somewhat of a different sound and personality to it, and I felt like each of those personalities was not portrayed throughout the page.  Since the site focused mainly on portraying aspects of the last album cover and excluded details from the first two albums, I felt the webpage did not display the style of the band to its fullest extent.  Although the site did not include every aspect of Third Eye Blind’s personality and music style, it did accurately portray the last album and its particular style.  Overall, the website reflected mainly on Third Eye Blind’s latest music style and personality.
