The topic that I chose for my paper is the relationship between a bands lyrics and the album cover's art.  The name of the band is Chiodos.  I am writing how each song is somehow represented on the album cover in the use of an artistic symbol.  For example, the cover is very dark, so just by looking at the album's cover, I already know that the lyrics themselves are going to be very dark and filled with many deep meanings.  On the Chiodos webpage, the band advertises t-shirts, hoodies, and a variety of  many other things.  They also talk about the band and how they came to be known as the band they are now.  Graphically, they use a lot of things that grasp a person's attention because they want the person that is browsing their site to buy some of their goods.  They also use graphics to show the type of content is in their music.  For example, they show their album covers and the names of some of their songs on the page.  They have images and other things to really take hold of the person looking at the page.  I believe myspace and facebook, for the most part, accurately portray me, but I'm definitely not saying that they can't make someone else look different from what they really are.  Web pages can portray a person anyway they want to be portrayed.  Its a very scary concept to think about.  Anybody could use it in a dangerous way. My favorite band, Taking Back Sunday, does have a myspace page, and it definitely depicts their style of music.  Color, pictures, design layout, and text all represent TBS's music because it familiarizes the person looking at the web page.  They feel like they understand the messages that TBS is trying to portray.
