I really never thought about what kind of style I write in. When I write I don't think twice about my style. I see it as if I am holding a conversation with someone for the first time. I like this because if I am too straight forward I might scare them away from what I am writing about but if I write like I am just getting to know them and slowly drag them in they will feel a lot more comfortable and not too overwhelmed with the content. I feel this way because I would like this style of writing and would feel uncomfortable if someone was too straight forward to the point I would get scared away. I agree with Vonnegut when he tells you to pick a subject you are most passionate about. This will definitely give the writer something to talk about and bring to life. While if you are forced to write about something you don’t give a crap about its most likely going to turn out like a bunch of crap on a piece of paper. Who wants to read crap? No one. My style definitely changes with my audience. There is no possible way you can write in one set style for all the different audiences that are out there. For example kindergartners are not going to understand complex words and sentences. It just would not make sense to write a children’s book with huge complex words and sentences. So I see it fit to change the style of your writing as your audience changes. I think it makes what is being written about a lot more interesting if it is aimed at the right audience in the right style. The audience will feel as if the article was written for them in a way and want to keep reading it. Rather than feeling it was written for someone of a different style.
